My sister has inspired me...

My sister Meaghan has inspired me to make a gratitude list. She is on a "get happy" kick. In her blog today, http://parentingfromtheedgeofthebowl.blogspot.com/, Meaghan wrote that we could all decide to be happy. I actually think it is a good idea; after all, I started the year off writing that I wanted to be more positive about life. You will notice that I haven’t posted since then.
So here is a list of the things that I can think that make me happy. This is just for today, tomorrow may be a different story and I will hate the garden I tend to as the damn thing needs to be watered and the weeds are taking over. However for today it is all fairies and rose buds Tralala.
In no particular order:
Spending time with family, near and far
Gardens
A+s
Warm gentle breezes
Completing art projects
Reading my sister’s work
My grrls
Listening to good music (so subjective!)
Bike rides on the Don River Trail

2 years later.


I forgot that I had a blog. Heaven knows I have many opinions to share. However, I am also trying to change my attitude and look on the bright side of life. Just like Monty Python has advised.

stop the noise

I can't get them out of my head!!!! The songs....the Christmas songs. I find myself doing the dishes and all of a sudden I start to hum..."I'll be home for Christmas." Or, I will be sitting at my desk at work and break out into a rendition of “White Christmas”. It’s not right. I didn’t ask for this. I didn't deliberately set out to listen to these songs. I didn't start a fire in the hearth and put on the old favourites. No! These songs and others like it are just there, implanted when I wasn't aware. Walking innocently through a mall or riding in the elevator at my Doctor’s office. AWK!!! Stop the noise!

Please ban cell phones on the TTC

Why do I need to know:
that Jamie (her boyfriend) is not cultured, does not like black and White movies and doesn't know who katherine hepburn is
that Russ who just texted her for a booty call which she is of course going to, just got back into town.that she asked cheryl to hang out because cheryl signed out the camera (from school I am guessing) and she (the she) wants to take urban pictures in the fucking snow
that Jamie thinks he is in love with her but she is just feeling so smothered
that she really has to smooth things over at school because of that major fuck-up last month
that she is going to hang out at a restaurant that isn't even open yet with taylor and joe
that she missed her fucking stop

Becoming Tech Savvy

I went to a fascinating lecture on technology in the classroom this morning. It has inspired me to start blogging among other things. I se this blog up months ago but have never posted . I will be posting is my opinions of the world we live in. some may fins this outrageous and that is good. Variety in thinking is a good thing. It will keep us all free.
